Here below lies a range of spreads that Morgan has channeled over the past several years in his studies and practices. When he sits down with a problem in mind, he quickly gets to work storyboarding his spread design— scribbling ideas in a notebook, cutting out rectangle pieces of paper, writing keywords on them, and rearranging them to where his intuition feels they should be placed.

♣ General Spreads ♣

The General Forecast Spread is something that I've always used with my personal Lenormand-style deck. It allows you to cast a general map of life regarding the past, present, and future.
At first glance, it may seem complicated because of all the different aspects like the colored quadrants, labeled brackets, and the four notable configurations, but it doesn't have to read like that. As you're reading, you decide where to begin and how to flow with interpretation by using your intuition (or not).
* However, if you prefer to read with some structure, then left-to-right and top-to-bottom (from card 1 through to card 25).
As you're reading, remember to mind the quadrants of what is known and unknown regarding the past, present, and future. There are also four notable configurations or 'shapes' to glean extra information.
-
The Heart → This card is special because it's the exact present moment. This reveals the central theme or general mood of the reading so the cards touching them are more important. It may reveal pain or pleasure, joy or stress, or represent a person or even a spiritual life lesson we must learn from.
-
The Ring → These 8 cards surround the central heart card, so they reveal the more pertinent things of life that are likely to come up again, end, or carry on into the future. The ring can also be read as the small picture of life and it can reveal how the heart card has affected them in mood or theme.
* They can also be read as a 3x3 mini tableau for further analysis.
-
The Frame → These 16 cards frame the tableau as the big picture of life and reveal the related periphery things like old news and new information, events over with or coming up, people coming or going in our lives, changes we don't expect, situations that have ended or are still ongoing, as well as the obstacles, challenges, and fears we may have.
-
The Cross → These 9 cards form the present tense of what's between the known and unknown, as well as the past and future. These cards can indicate a [related or unrelated] understanding between the four quadrants and may reveal a chain of events, likely happenings, relevant timeline, or internal forces.
-
The x axis reveals what's freshly happened (left) and what's likely to happen (right).
-
The y axis reveals what is known right now (above) and what's needed to be known right now (below).
-
There are also two notable cards that may provide some relevant context to the reading. The first card is the far past and the last card is the far future.
-
The “history card” can be a force of hindrance or help or it could reveal the root of some past event or situation. It may even represent what was on the reading recipient's mind when they cut.
-
The “pursuit card” can show what the reading recipient may focus on in the long-term, what will worsen or improve, how the reading will be received and put to use, or provide an overall meaning.

The Intuitive “Venn Diagram” Spread– this spread can be simple or complex. It aids in analysis between sides, people, qualities, timeframes, beliefs, andrelationships. The sides can be expanded to create 3 by 3 grids or 2 by 3 grids, but the concept of reading them as a singular energy pool remains.
The cards are shuffled and pulled in order, top to bottom, left to right, but in parts I, II, and III. Questions are the balance of any two: who the truthful one, should you pick A or B, what Fear is saying and what Love is saying, even about relationships between people, living or deceased.
Here’s an Example Spread on the blog.
This spread is great for checking up on how things are going or as a general reading spread. Deeper meanings can be extracted by comparing parallel cards diagonally, horizontally, and vertically. You can also read across rows, even down the columns in a story form from top to bottom.
With this spread, you can accurately predict financial standings, potential layoffs, characteristics of a person one might meet, potential breakups or divorces, one’s current mental-emotional embodiment, relationship patterns, messages from deceased relatives and loved ones, and more.
A great way way to use this spread is by applying a trinity concept to the emotional, physical, and spiritual— the physical and emotional make up the spiritual, the spiritual and emotional make up the physical, and so on.
Here’s an Example Reading on the blog.

The Cactus Spread is a simple look at the way you or someone else is reacting (or not) to the many stimuli of life in the context of challenges, strife, growth, & personality.
I have so far found this spread to be very good at channeling a complete stranger as well as a person you have known for a while without the infamous bias getting in the way.
In my opinion, this spread is a great icebreaker to help new clients feel comfortable with your reading style & gift.
If you need more information, you can always expand upon this 'cactus' by adding 'height' to it with more cards off the 4th, 5th, & 6th, card or entirely making your own branches and central core meanings.
